CAN I JUST TURN UP WITH MY CLUB?

I’m afraid we can only offer club camping to those registered with us, If you do want to register your club pop an email over to clubcamping@cornwall-jamboree.co.uk.

WHAT’S THE CUT OFF DATE FOR CLUB REGISTRATION?

The cut off date for 2023 Jamboree is 1st July.

WHAT IS THE CRITERIA FOR CLUB CAMPING AND WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON’T MEET THIS?

The criteria to be entered into our club camping pitch is your club must have a minimum of 6 vehicles attending Jamboree, if this criteria is not met your club will be placed into our general camping field.

I AM A MEMBER OF CORNWALL VOLKSWAGEN OWNERS CLUB, WHAT DAY AND TIME CAN I ARRIVE?

Thanks for joining us, all our fully paid up members can arrive from 10am on the Thursday, please note your up to date membership cards will need to be shown.

ARRIVAL TIMES

WHAT TIME CAN I ARRIVE ON FRIDAY?

Our gate opening times are 12pm on the Friday until 22:00pm.

WHAT TIME CAN WE ARRIVE ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY?

Our weekend gate opening times are 8am till 9pm.

I AM A CVWOC CLUB MEMBER, WHEN CAN I ARRIVE?

Club members gain an extra nights camping, arrival is on the Thursday but no entry will be allowed until 10:00am, we would appreciate a helping hand when you have set up camp.

FACILITIES

DO YOU HAVE SHOWER AND TOILET FACILITIES?

Yes we have portaloos dotted around the showground as well as a permanent toilet block, we also have a mobile shower unit. all our facilities are cleaned daily.

DO YOU HAVE LAUNDRY AND DISH WASHING FACILITIES?

I’m afraid we don’t have the facility for dish washing or laundry.

DOGS

CAN I BRING MY DOGS?

Dogs are more than welcome to attend Cornwall Jamboree, however they must be kept on a lead at all times, dogs registered on the dangerous dogs act are not to be admitted into the showground. Please clear up after your pet, thank you.

No dogs are allowed into the marquee after 6pm.

CAMPING

CAN I PAY LESS IF I ONLY WANT TO CAMP FOR 2 DAYS INSTEAD OF 3?

We are sorry but there is no camping discount if you want to only stay for 1 or 2 days.

CAN I SAVE SPACES FOR MY FRIENDS TO ARRIVE?

We advise that group parties meet on the way into the showground if they want to pitch together, we cannot always guarantee you a group space.

TRADE

I WOULD LIKE TO TRADE AT THIS EVENT, WHO DO I GET IN CONTACT WITH?

I DON’T SELL ANYTHING VW RELATED, CAN I STILL TRADE AT YOUR EVENT?

I AM A CATERING COMPANY AND I WOULD LOVE TO TRADE AT YOUR SHOW, WHO DO I CONTACT?

Our club chairman is the man to go to regarding catering units, he can be contacted at catering@cornwall-jamboree.co.uk.

WHAT TIME AND DAY CAN I ARRIVE TO SET UP MY TRADE STALL?

Trade stands are allowed access on the Thursday from 12 noon.

SHOW ‘N’ SHINE

WHERE CAN I FIND THE FORM TO REGISTER FOR SHOW N SHINE?

Our Show n Shine forms can be downloaded and printed off from our show and shine page, they will also be in our show programme available on Jamboree Weekend.

WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION TIMES FOR SHOW N SHINE?

Registration opens at 9am closes at 11am on the Sunday and vehicles must be in place on the show n shine field by 11:30 or they won’t be judged.

WHERE DO I HAND MY REGISTRATION FORM IN?

Registration forms are to be handed in at Show n Shine HQ on the Show n Shine Field.

WHAT TIME ARE WE ALLOWED TO MOVE OUR VEHICLES INTO THE SHOW N SHINE FIELD?

Vehicle movement is between 9 and 11:30 on Sunday, please follow our vehicle movement guidelines during your journey, 10mph speed limit and hazards on.

WHAT TIME IS THE AWARDS CEREMONY?

The award ceremony takes place at 16:30 on Sunday.

CLUB STANDS

WHO DO WE CONTACT REGARDING HAVING A CLUB STAND ON THE SATURDAY?

Our show n shine man is in charge of sorting all our club stands, ping him an email at shownshine@cornwallvwoc.com.

WHAT ARE THE VEHICLE MOVEMENT RULES FOR SATURDAY, INCLUDING CLUB STANDS?

Vehicle movement on Saturday is restricted to before 11am and after 3pm, there is strictly no vehicle movement between these hours, please follow our vehicle movement guidelines, 10mph speed limit and hazards on.

VOLUNTEERS

CAN I VOLUNTEER TO HELP AT JAMBOREE WEEKEND?

We would love you to help run our show, please email cornwalljamboreevolunteers@gmail.com to get involved.

WHY DO YOU NEED VOLUNTEERS?

Our Committee is run entirely by volunteers, it’s a huge show to be run by just 15 of us, including all year round organisation, a little help on the day is greatly appreciated and we have a great reward system in place.

VEHICLES

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY VEHICLES I CAN BRING?

We don’t have a vehicle limit, we do request that you inform us upon booking your tickets of the amount of vehicles you are bringing, however we would like everyone to be considerate that extra vehicles can take up someone else’s camping space.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PARK MY EXTRA VEHICLE IN A SEPARATE FIELD?

Your camping tickets cover you for a camping unit and 1 vehicle, for example one van and one awning = a camping unit or a car and a tent = a camping unit.

Show and Shine vehicles are allowed to stay with your camping unit.

it’s all about being considerate of others wanting to attend and not taking up space that others could have.

CAN I BRING MY CARAVAN OR MOTOR HOME?

We happily accept Caravans and motorhomes, as long as they are not exceptionally large.

WHAT VEHICLE MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE?

We politely ask that vehicle movement is kept to a minimum, hazards on and 10mph at all times.

Vehicle movement past the HQ and into the showground during showtimes will need an escort, we are more than happy to help with this.

Anyone found to be abusing these rules can be asked to leave the site.

FOOD

MY CHILD IS A PICKY EATER, IS THERE MUCH CHOICE OF CATERING FACILITIES?

We try to have a bit of everything and i’m sure you’ll find a great selection of food available at Jamboree.

I’M A VEGETARIAN AND I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE VEGAN, ARE THERE OPTIONS FOR US TO EAT?

As much as we try to give our attendees a varied selection of catering outlets we cannot guarantee that Vegetarian or vegan options are available.
